Position: Infant Teacher
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Provide warm, responsive, and attentive care for infants throughout the day.
- Maintain active supervision and ensure children are within required sight and sound supervision.
- Follow safe-sleep, feeding, diapering, sanitation, and classroom safety procedures.
- Follow each child's feeding, sleeping, and care schedule.
- Create engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences using TLE's curriculum.
- Encourage early language, sensory, motor, and social-emotional development.
- Maintain accurate daily records for bottles, meals, diaper changes, naps, activities, and other care needs.
- Keep the classroom clean, organized, welcoming, and licensing-ready.
- Communicate positively and professionally with families about their child's day and development.
- Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and center leadership.
- Follow all Indiana childcare licensing requirements and TLE health and safety standards.
- Participate in required training, staff meetings, and professional development.
- Genuinely enjoys working with infants.
- Is nurturing, patient, positive, and attentive.
- Understands that infant care requires constant supervision and attention to detail.
- Is dependable and arrives ready to work according to schedule.
- Communicates professionally with parents and coworkers.
- Works well as part of a classroom team.
- Can follow established procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
- Is willing to learn and grow professionally.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous childcare, daycare, preschool, or infant-care experience preferred.
- CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or related credentials are a plus.
- Must meet Indiana childcare employment and background-check requirements.
- Must be able to complete required health, safety, CPR/First Aid, and childcare training.
- Must be physically capable of safely lifting and caring for infants and performing normal classroom responsibilities.
